Chanelle is a leading provider of generic animal pharmaceuticals worldwide. Chanelle asked CDG to design their new UK Brand and Logo Identity as well as creating some digital marketing materials.

About The Client

Founded in 1985 by veterinary surgeon Michael Burke, Chanelle is a leading provider of generic animal pharmaceuticals worldwide. With its strong values of integrity, collaboration and excellence, Chanelle is the largest indigenous pharmaceuticals manufacturer in Ireland and ranking amongst the best in Europe. Always providing customers with high quality and efficiency products and services, Chanelle has seen its work recognised by several industry awards. For more than 30 years, the family run business has adapted itself to the latest changes and stayed current to its customers’ needs. Established in Galway, the company holds over 1700 animal health licenses registered in the EU and 500 around the rest of the world.

The Challenge

CDG were tasked to design Chanelle’s new UK Brand and Logo Identity and digital marketing material. With Chanelle, our challenge was to give a refreshed and nicer feel to the brand without changing its image. For that, CDG were asked to create a modern icon that would match the initial typography of their design.

Our Solution

CDG had to study the company’s history and targeted audience for the United Kingdom. Our main goal was to contemporise the company’s brand image. With that idea in mind, we first provided Chanelle with sketches of a new logo. We kept the shape of the former company’s icon but we gave it more definition by playing with different shades of blue. With the company’s approval, we went from there to create Chanelle’s new website. We wanted to stay truthful to the company’s work, so we made it easy for potential customers to understand what the company is about when they browse the website. We used visuals to make the new site more dynamic than their former one. We wanted to show in the design what the company’s ethic and goals are. The website will be smartphone friendly and responsive in design. All through the construction of the project, CDG offered guidance and strategic brand advice to Chanelle, allowing the brand to gain the best results going forward into the UK market.
